2010 Cadillac SRX Coming Your Way With Redesigned Body

The new 2010 SRX from the house of Cadillac is expected to be featured with redesigned body style in comparison to its previous versions. The vehicle is expected to be displayed at the Detroit Auto Show.

Most of the features of the 2010 Cadillac SRX are similar to that of the Provoq concept car, except the power train (being the only major difference). The new Cadillac SRX model takes the most recent iterations of Cadillac’s design styles and applies it to the crossover body style. The end result is something that looks more like an SUV rather than a wagon.

As far as visual differences between the SRX and Provoq are concerned, the front grille is the most prominent difference that helps in distinguishes them. The fuel cell powered Provoq uses the thermo statical controlled shutters that close and open automatically based on the cooling demands of the power train.

It is reverted in the case of SRX and setup is similar to that of STS and the CTS models. The front corner lower LED fog lights also been replaced with the more predictable looking units. The original SRX model was designed based on the CTS vehicle’s Sigma platform, which provided the all wheel drive or the rear wheel drive.

On the other hand, the 2010 Cadillac SRX model uses the Theta platform and will be offered in front wheel drive. The all-wheel drive to the vehicle is provided as optional. The latest generation SRX will make use of the Haldex system to allocate the torque to the rear axle based on the current needs of the axle.
